The SLCT BMS LFP 4S 10A with Balance and Connector is a compact battery management and protection board for compatible 4-series LiFePO4 battery packs. A 4S LFP pack uses four nominal 3.2V cell groups in series and is commonly described as a 12.8V nominal battery system. The 10A designation identifies the current class, while ""with BAL/CON"" indicates that this version includes a balancing function and a connector-based cell-sampling arrangement rather than requiring the buyer to source every interface separately.

The BMS monitors the four cell-group voltages and controls the battery according to its protection design. In a correctly matched pack, the board helps prevent cells from operating outside its configured overcharge, over-discharge and current-protection limits. The integrated balance function is intended to reduce cell-voltage difference near the balancing region, but a small hardware BMS should not be described as an active balancer unless the circuit is specifically documented as active energy transfer.

The 10A rating applies to the BMS current path, but the finished pack must also use cells, nickel/busbars, wires, connectors and fuse protection suited to the intended load. For motor loads or equipment with startup surges, verify the board's over-current behavior rather than assuming that a 10A label supports all transient conditions.

Use this board only with 4S LiFePO4 chemistry. Do not substitute it for a 4S NMC board because the cell-voltage limits differ. Confirm the connector pin order before installation and verify whether the board uses a common-port or other charge/discharge arrangement. The supplied balance connector makes assembly easier, but the harness still must be wired in the correct sequence from battery negative through each cell-group junction.

Installation Guide

Build and verify the 4S cell string before connecting the BMS. Measure each cell-group voltage and confirm that the total pack voltage equals the sum of the four groups. Connect balance wires in the exact sequence required by the board, then verify the harness before plugging it into the connector. Use appropriate wire size on the main current path and insulate the PCB from metal enclosures. On first use, test charge and discharge behavior at a controlled current and monitor the board for abnormal heating or unexpected cutoff.
