The NEEY 15S/16S 2A active balancer is a cell-equalization module for battery projects using 15 or 16 series-connected cell groups. It helps reduce differences between cell-group voltages through active energy transfer. This dual-series option gives battery builders a defined series format and a 2A balancing-current class for selecting the equalizer alongside the rest of the pack hardware.

Active balancing redistributes stored energy between cell groups. More even charge levels can help the pack use capacity that would otherwise be limited by one group reaching its cut-off earlier than the others. The 2A designation refers to balancing current, not the current carried by the pack's main power cables. Balancing speed depends on operating conditions, cell capacity and the amount of imbalance; a current class alone does not specify a fixed completion time.

The 15S/16S designation covers two stated series options. Use the connection arrangement specified for the selected pack. Parallel cells within one group do not create an additional series channel. Match the board to the cell chemistry and operating-voltage range specified for the supplied revision. Use a dedicated BMS for charge, discharge and fault protection. Persistent voltage drift also calls for checks of cell condition, contact resistance and charger settings, rather than relying on equalization alone.

Installation Guide

Follow the connection diagram for the actual board. Keep the harness disconnected from the module while connecting the cell taps, and meter-check the tap order before insertion. Mount the board with electrical insulation and adequate clearance. Secure the leads, start under controlled conditions and check the cell-group voltages before closing the enclosure.
