The JK BMS-BLMK-5A Parallel Module limits current exchange in a compatible parallel battery installation. It is used with a matching JK BMS to help control current caused by a voltage difference between packs.

Adding battery packs in parallel requires coordinated electrical design as well as compatible management hardware. This module serves the current-limiting part of that arrangement. The JK-BLMK-5A family is intended for JK BMS units equipped with the required parallel-module interface. It is useful when building or expanding a supported battery bank.

The 5A figure is the module's nominal current-limiting designation. It is separate from the battery bank's continuous load rating and from any cell-level balancing current inside the BMS. Voltage differences between parallel packs can drive significant circulating current, so the complete design must also account for pack state of charge, wiring, protection and permitted connection conditions. A current-limiting accessory cannot make electrically mismatched batteries suitable for unrestricted parallel use.

Use only the JK BMS and module combinations identified by the manufacturer. The BMS must have the dedicated parallel connection required by this accessory. Keep the parallel packs compatible in chemistry and series arrangement. Check the control harness and power connection layout, and follow the system design for pack fusing and isolation.

Installation Guide

Have the parallel installation assembled to the JK wiring diagram. Verify polarity, pack voltages and the complete wiring sequence before making the final connections. Secure both the control lead and power connections, then commission the system under monitored conditions. Check current exchange and BMS operation before connecting the normal load. Use the specified protection and disconnect arrangements for each pack.
