JBD LCD05 4.3-Inch Touch Battery SOC Display

The JBD LCD05 4.3-Inch Touch Battery SOC Display is a colour touchscreen for a compatible JBD UP-series energy-storage BMS. It provides local access to battery information, cell data and system status through a UART connection.

A cabinet-mounted touch display is useful when operators need more than a simple charge percentage. It brings the supported system information to the equipment front panel, giving installers and service personnel a common interface for routine inspection and supervised commissioning.

Technical Performance & Engineering Details

The LCD05 interface includes system-level information and individual unit pages. Depending on the connected configuration, these pages present SOC, voltage, current, cell-voltage extremes, temperature information and charge/discharge status. English interface selection and touch wakeup support everyday local use.

System summaries and individual battery values must be read in the correct context. For example, an average charge indication across a supported parallel system is not identical to the SOC of every participating battery. Use the individual unit view when investigating a difference between packs, rather than treating an aggregate value as a complete diagnosis.

Compatibility & Selection Guide

Select the display for the intended UP-series BMS and its supported firmware configuration. The screen's physical communication interface is UART. Inverter-protocol menus associated with the BMS do not mean that the screen itself can be connected interchangeably to any CAN or RS485 port.

Verify the display harness, supplied power arrangement and enclosure drawing before installation. For parallel equipment, establish how unit addresses and system information will be presented. Confirm the required menus and permissions with the actual hardware revision; screen size and a shared LCD05 name alone are not sufficient proof of compatibility with every JBD board.

Installation Guide

Mount the screen with adequate rear clearance and protect its connections from live power conductors. Follow the BMS and display documentation for supply and signal wiring. Start the system using an approved commissioning procedure, then compare screen values with the BMS's own reported data.

Restrict access to configuration menus to authorised personnel. Changing a protection threshold is an engineering change, not a routine way to clear an alarm. Preserve the approved settings before any permitted adjustment, confirm normal operation afterwards and document the display/BMS revision pairing. Check touch response, language selection, expected sleep behaviour and the identity of each displayed unit before closing the installation. Include display access and operator permissions in the commissioning record for the completed energy-storage equipment.
