The DK BDC2000 is an adjustable battery charger with a regulated power-supply mode. It is designed for charging compatible lithium and lead-acid batteries, not for independently measuring discharge capacity or performing a complete charge-discharge test cycle.

For an assembly or service bench, adjustable charging is useful when different approved battery designs need different voltage and current settings. The operator remains responsible for selecting a profile appropriate to the actual battery. A universal charger is not a device that can safely determine every chemistry and charge requirement without setup.

Technical Performance & Engineering Details

The documented BDC2000 output is adjustable from 1V to 100V. Its current range is 1A to 20A up to 80V, reducing to 1A to 18A above 80V, with a maximum output power of 1800W. Voltage, current and charge-termination settings therefore need to be considered together.

The regulated power-supply mode is a separate operating function and should not be confused with a battery-specific charging procedure. Charging data describes energy being supplied to the battery; it does not establish how much usable capacity the battery will subsequently deliver. Where capacity verification is required, plan a separate compatible discharge instrument and an approved process linking the two pieces of equipment.

Compatibility & Selection Guide

Check the battery chemistry, series configuration and full-charge voltage, then select the permitted current from its specification. Confirm that the BMS and charging connector can support that current throughout the charging period. The maximum charger output must not be used as a default setting for smaller batteries.

The 99V catalogue description should be matched to the delivered nameplate and manual before commissioning. Also consider the available electrical supply, terminal style and required cable length. For mixed-product workshops, keep clearly identified charging profiles for each battery family so a setting left over from another job cannot be applied inadvertently.

Installation Guide

Install the charger in a dry, ventilated work area with the specified mains connection and protective earth. Check the output wiring, connector rating and polarity before attaching a battery. Keep the load disabled while changing the connection arrangement, and verify the selected mode before starting.

Commission each approved battery profile at a suitable conservative current, checking voltage and termination behaviour. Observe connector temperature and battery condition during the first charging run. Stop for unusual heating or abnormal charging behaviour. Preserve the approved settings in the work instruction and confirm them again when changing battery types. Use only the battery manufacturer's permitted storage and charging practices after the bench procedure is complete.
