DK DSF40 99V Battery Charge-Discharge Capacity Tester

The DK DSF40 is a battery pack charge-discharge capacity tester for compatible lithium and lead-acid batteries. It combines a 9-99V test range with up to 20A charging and up to 40A discharging, subject to the applicable operating limits.

This separate charge and discharge capability is useful when a production or service process needs more than a stand-alone electronic load. Define a repeatable preparation and test sequence, then retain the measured result against the pack identity. The DSF40 supports constant-current/constant-voltage charging, constant-current discharge and programmed cycling. The 40A discharge designation must not be relabelled as 40A charging. Consider voltage, current, wiring and thermal conditions together when specifying a test. Start from the complete battery specification, including maximum charge voltage, minimum permitted test endpoint and allowable continuous currents. Plan the necessary terminal adapters and current-carrying connections, and check whether a computer and network connection will be available at the test station. For repeated production work, control access to approved recipes and retain their revision identifiers. Use the same preparation, rest conditions and discharge rate when comparing batteries, rather than mixing results obtained under different test programmes.

Install the DSF40 with a mains circuit suitable for its documented load, protective earth and unobstructed airflow. Have trained personnel inspect the test harness and separate sensing connections. Commission the station with a reference pack and inspect the first exported report for correct identity and settings. Check that protective responses and termination behaviour match the approved process. Monitor the battery and connectors during the initial run and stop if heating or connection instability is observed.
