This module is intended to support cell-voltage equalization alongside a suitable battery protection system; an active balancer should not be treated as a replacement for a correctly specified BMS.

DALY Hardware Active Balancer 4S 1A
The DALY Hardware Active Balancer 4S 1A is an active cell-equalization module designed for compatible lithium battery packs built with four series-connected cell groups (4S). It is intended to help reduce voltage differences between the connected cell groups by actively redistributing energy within the battery pack.
In a multi-cell lithium battery, small differences in cell capacity, internal resistance, state of charge and operating conditions can cause individual cell-group voltages to move apart over time. An active balancer provides an additional equalization function by transferring energy within the battery rather than relying only on resistive dissipation. This DALY hardware version provides a balancing current of up to 1A and is specifically matched to a 4S configuration.
The product belongs to DALY’s dedicated hardware active-balancer range. It is different from a complete Battery Management System: its main function is cell-voltage equalization, while battery protection, charge/discharge control and other BMS functions must be provided separately where required.

How It Works
The sampling wires connect to the individual series points of the battery pack so that the balancing module can work across the connected cell groups. When the operating conditions defined by the module are met, the active-balancing circuit redistributes energy within the battery pack to help bring cell-group voltages closer together.
Compatibility
This model is intended for 4S lithium battery packs, compatible LiFePO4 battery systems, compatible lithium-ion battery systems and systems requiring a dedicated 1A-class active equalizer. The exact battery chemistry, pack voltage, connector and sampling-wire arrangement should be checked before installation.
Applications
It can be considered for compatible 4S battery assemblies used in energy-storage battery packs, solar and backup battery systems, custom lithium battery assemblies, battery rebuilding and maintenance projects, and other compatible 4S lithium battery systems requiring active cell equalization.
Important Installation Note
Correct sampling-wire order is critical. Connect the balance harness according to the battery-series sequence and verify cell-group voltages before plugging the harness into the balancer. A 4S balancer should be matched to the correct 4S battery configuration rather than substituted for another series count. The DALY Hardware Active Balancer 4S 1A should be viewed as a dedicated balancing accessory and not as a replacement for a BMS.
