DALY Hardware Active Balancer 13S 1A

The DALY Hardware Active Balancer 13S 1A is a dedicated active equalization module for compatible 13S lithium battery packs containing thirteen series-connected cell groups. It is designed to help manage voltage differences within the battery by redistributing energy between connected cell groups when balancing is required.

Lithium battery packs rarely remain perfectly uniform throughout their service life. Differences in individual cells, assembly conditions, temperature, internal resistance and usage can gradually cause some cell groups to operate at slightly different voltages from others. A dedicated active balancer addresses this condition by redistributing energy within the connected battery instead of performing only simple resistive discharge of the higher-voltage groups.

This DALY product is part of the company’s hardware active-balance module range and provides a balancing current of up to 1A. It is intended to provide balancing as a separate function alongside the rest of the battery-management system.

How It Works

A 13S battery contains thirteen series-connected cell groups. The balancer’s sampling harness connects progressively from the total negative terminal through each series junction and finally to the total positive end of the pack. Once correctly connected and operating within the module’s specified conditions, the balancing circuit compares the electrical state across the connected groups and transfers energy within the system to help reduce excessive voltage variation.

Compatibility

Use this model only with a confirmed 13S battery configuration. Verify battery chemistry, sampling-wire sequence, connector type and total pack voltage before installation. The correct matching harness should be used for the balancer.

Applications

Suitable, subject to complete system compatibility, for 13S lithium battery packs used in battery assembly and rebuilding, energy-storage modules, solar-storage systems, backup-power battery packs, battery service work, and compatible equipment or mobility battery systems.

Installation & Selection Guidance

Series count is an electrical specification, not merely a naming detail. A 13S balancer should therefore be selected because the actual battery is 13S. Connect and verify the sampling wires before inserting the harness into the module. Incorrect connection sequence can expose battery electronics to the wrong voltage.

The DALY Hardware Active Balancer 13S 1A performs cell equalization. It does not replace an appropriately selected BMS responsible for charge/discharge switching, over-current protection or other battery-protection functions.
