The DALY BMS LFP 4S 200A is a high-current battery management and protection system for compatible four-series LiFePO4 battery packs. A 4S LFP battery uses four nominal 3.2V cell groups in series, creating a 12.8V nominal battery class. The 200A current designation places this model in a much higher-current category than compact 10A, 20A or 60A BMS boards and makes it relevant to large 12V-class battery systems where the cells, busbars, cables, connectors, fuse protection and thermal design are all engineered for substantial current.

The BMS monitors the four cell-group voltages and controls the battery according to its built-in protection logic. Typical DALY protection categories include overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short-circuit and temperature protection, but exact trigger values should come from the datasheet for the specific 4S 200A unit. The BMS should not be used as the only system-level protective device when the installation also requires fusing, isolation or contactor control.

At 200A, conductor design becomes critical. A small increase in resistance at a cable lug, busbar joint or connector can produce significant heat. Use properly sized copper conductors, correctly crimped lugs and short current paths. The battery cells themselves must support the intended continuous and surge current. A 200A BMS does not convert lower-current cells into a 200A battery.

Use this BMS only with a 4S LiFePO4 battery. Confirm whether the unit is common-port or separate-port, whether it includes temperature sensors, whether balancing is present and whether the model is smart or hardware-only. For inverters, trolling motors, large DC loads or vehicle systems, confirm startup/surge current separately. Also verify the charger's LFP voltage profile and the pack fuse size.

Installation Guide

Use heavy-gauge cable and lugs appropriate to the real current and cable length. Keep all high-current joints clean, tight and protected from corrosion. Connect the cell-sampling harness in the correct sequence and verify each cell-group voltage before insertion. Mount the BMS on an insulated surface with adequate heat dissipation. Install a correctly rated fuse close to the battery positive terminal where required by the system design. During commissioning, test at a controlled current first and use thermal inspection to identify hot connections before applying full load.
