Key Feature

• ANL Fuse Holder - Provides a dedicated mounting and connection platform for ANL-format high-current battery fuses.

• High-Current Bolted Interface - Supports secure fuse and cable-lug connections for battery, inverter and DC distribution power paths.

• Protected Fuse Position - Organises the replaceable ANL fuse inside an insulated holder rather than leaving the fuse hardware unsupported.

• Black Housing - Uses a black insulated housing for clear component identification and physical separation around the fuse connection.

• Battery & Inverter Integration - Suited to ESS, solar storage, UPS and other high-current DC systems using ANL fuse protection.

ANL Fuse Holder Black

The ANL Fuse Holder Black is a dedicated holder for ANL-format high-current fuses used in battery, inverter and DC power circuits. It provides a fixed mounting point for the fuse, bolted electrical interfaces for the connected cables and an insulated black housing that organises the high-current protection point inside the installation.

An ANL holder supports the fuse mechanically and electrically but does not determine the fuse rating by itself. The installed ANL fuse needs to be coordinated with the cable, source voltage and load. The holder should be mounted where the main battery feed can reach it with minimal unfused cable length and where service technicians can access the fuse without disturbing unrelated wiring.

Bolted contact quality is central to high-current performance. Cable lugs and fuse ends need flat seating, suitable fastening hardware and stable clamp pressure so the connection remains low resistance. Loose hardware can create heat at currents below the fuse rating because the fuse element responds to circuit current, not to a single hot joint caused by poor contact pressure.

The holder housing provides physical separation around the live fuse and helps reduce accidental tool contact, but it is not a substitute for source isolation. Battery energy remains present at the supply-side stud whenever the battery is connected. Safe enclosure layout keeps opposite polarities separated, supports heavy cables close to the holder and prevents cable weight from twisting the bolted fuse connection.

ANL fuse systems are serviceable by design, so replacement discipline matters. The holder should retain the same ANL fuse family and engineered ampere rating used in the circuit design. Replacing an opened fuse with a larger rating changes cable protection and can increase thermal risk. Recurrent fuse operation should trigger fault investigation rather than progressive fuse uprating.

Applications

• Lithium battery main-power circuits using a compatible ANL or supplied fuse interface.

• Inverter and UPS battery links requiring a serviceable high-current fuse position.

• Solar-storage battery cabinets with a dedicated overcurrent-protection point close to the source.

• Industrial DC systems where bolted or enclosed fuse hardware forms part of the protection layout.

• Battery service and replacement work using the same fuse-holder family and conductor arrangement.

• Custom energy-storage assemblies that require an accessible fuse position between the battery and load.

Installation Guide

Disconnect the battery or DC source before cutting or terminating the protected conductor. Mount or route the holder so cable movement does not pull on the fuse contacts, keep the assembly away from sharp edges and heat sources, and place the fuse point close to the source side of the circuit. Use secure splices, crimps or bolted connections suited to the conductor and holder construction.

During commissioning, establish polarity and system voltage before energising the circuit. Apply the normal load progressively and observe the holder, conductor and fuse interface for abnormal temperature rise or voltage drop. The fuse should remain mechanically secure and the holder should not soften, discolour or loosen. An operated fuse or hot connection requires investigation of the circuit rather than a higher fuse rating.

Record holder type, fuse family, fuse rating and conductor size with the wiring documentation. Inspect the protection point during scheduled service, especially after fault events or modifications to the connected load. Changes to cable gauge, source voltage, inverter power or equipment inrush require renewed fuse coordination so the holder and conductor continue to operate within the intended protection design.

Why Choose ARB Accessories?

ARB Accessories supplies fuse holders and circuit-protection parts alongside battery cells, BMS boards, cable, terminals, busbars, breakers and enclosures for Indian pack builders and service teams. Prepare your enquiry with the ANL fuse rating, system voltage, cable cross-section, lug geometry and mounting location so the fuse-holder assembly integrates cleanly into the intended battery, inverter, vehicle or DC wiring system. Fuse protection is most effective when the protective device is positioned close to the energy source, because a long unfused conductor can still release battery energy into a fault before the fuse point.
