AC EV Connector Gun Three Phase 32A 415V 5 m
The AC EV Connector Gun Three Phase 32A 415V 5 m is an AC electric-vehicle charging connector cable assembly specified for three phase operation at 32A and 415V with a 5 m cable. It provides the physical vehicle-side charging interface between compatible EV charging equipment and the vehicle inlet while carrying AC power through a flexible, repeatedly handled cable assembly.
This connector gun belongs to the AC charging path, not to the energy-conversion stage inside the vehicle. The external EVSE manages supply-side control and protection, while the vehicle onboard charger converts incoming AC power for the traction battery. The key selection points are the three phase supply arrangement, 32A current class, 415V voltage class, cable reach and matching vehicle interface.
Charging cables operate under repeated flexing, plugging and environmental handling, so mechanical condition is part of electrical safety. The cable should leave the connector body without sharp bending, the latch and housing should engage cleanly, and the contact area must remain protected from dirt and physical damage. High-current AC contacts generate heat when resistance rises, making full engagement and clean contact surfaces important during normal charging.
The 32A current label is a connector-cable class, while actual charging current is governed by the vehicle, EVSE, supply circuit and control signalling. The 5 m lead should reach the parking position without being stretched across sharp edges or left where vehicles can crush it. Coiling a heavily loaded cable tightly can reduce heat dissipation, so the lead should be laid out freely during charging.
Three Phase 415V charging requires the upstream installation to use the same supply architecture. Protective earthing, circuit protection and residual-current protection belong to the charging installation rather than to the connector housing alone. The connector gun is a replaceable high-current interface within the EVSE system, with routine inspection focused on damaged insulation, worn latching parts and heat marks.
Applications
• Residential AC EV charging equipment using the matching phase, current and voltage class.
• Commercial EV charging points built around compatible AC charging-control equipment.
• Fleet depots requiring a replaceable charging cable and vehicle-side connector assembly.
• Workshop charging stations used for electric-car service and controlled charging.
• Parking-area charging installations where cable reach and repeated handling are part of the design.
• OEM charging equipment built around the same electrical interface and cable specification.
Installation Guide
Integrate the connector gun into EV charging equipment using the wiring and control arrangement defined for the charging system. De-energise the supply before cable work, maintain protective-earth continuity, secure strain relief and keep the cable away from sharp edges, hot surfaces and moving parts.
Commission the charging point with controlled tests before routine use. Establish supply voltage and phase arrangement, inspect connector engagement and monitor the cable and plug during an initial charging session. Stop service if the jacket, housing or contacts show damage, arcing marks or abnormal temperature rise.
Record current class, voltage, phase configuration, cable length and charging-equipment assignment with the installation. Inspect the connector regularly where connection cycles are high. Changes to EVSE current setting, upstream protection, supply architecture or vehicle interface require the charging system to be reviewed as a complete electrical installation.
Why Choose ARB Accessories?
ARB Accessories supplies EV and ESS connector hardware alongside battery components, chargers, BMS products, cable, terminals, breakers and fuses for Indian integrators. Prepare your enquiry with the three phase supply requirement, 32A current class, 415V voltage class, 5 m cable length and mating charging interface. A well-designed power path also keeps high-current joints accessible for inspection, because early signs of heating or loosening are easier to correct before they affect the enclosure. Cable support, enclosure layout and service access matter alongside electrical rating, since repeated movement can increase mechanical stress at an otherwise sound connection. For production builds, consistent hardware, tightening practice and labelled polarity reduce assembly variation and make maintenance faster across multiple battery cabinets.
