The SunkaLead SKXD-S200 is a dedicated 32700 cylindrical battery cell sorter that measures voltage and internal resistance. Its two outlets separate cells into one accepted group and one rejected group, creating a straightforward OK/NG inspection stage.

This arrangement is useful when the production requirement is a clear pass/fail decision rather than many closely spaced grades. It avoids the need to operate a larger multi-bin sorter for a simple incoming acceptance process. The cell still needs to satisfy every other inspection requirement established for the battery pack; an OK sorting result is not a complete safety or lifetime assessment.

The operator loads cells into the storage area, after which the machine transfers them through electrical testing and routes them according to the selected thresholds. A PLC and touchscreen provide the control interface. Voltage and internal resistance values are compared with the approved limits before the cell enters the OK or NG route.

The two-channel description refers to those output routes, not two simultaneous measurement stations. The machine also does not determine ampere-hour capacity from its brief voltage and resistance check. Where capacity matching is required, perform a suitable charge-discharge test as a separate stage.

Build the pass criteria around the cell specification and production method. A narrow acceptance window is useful only when measurement repeatability, cell condition and contact quality are controlled well enough to support it.

The S200 is intended for the 32700 format. Do not choose it as a universal cylindrical sorter without an approved mechanical conversion. Evaluate terminal shape, wrapper condition and feeding behaviour using representative production samples, including normal manufacturing tolerances.

Establish what should happen after rejection: quarantine, retest, supplier review or another approved disposition. Keeping those routes separate helps prevent an electrically rejected cell from being returned accidentally to accepted stock. Also decide how batch labels will accompany collected cells, since a reliable sorting result loses value when different suppliers or inspection lots are mixed after unloading.

Installation Guide

Provide the specified single-phase supply, protective earth and clean compressed air. Install the sorter on a stable surface with clear access to loading and collection areas. Commission the contact system and reject mechanism using approved reference samples before processing a full batch.

Check that both outlets receive the intended samples and that a full collection area is handled correctly. Operators should stop and isolate the machine before clearing jams or maintaining the pneumatic mechanism. Keep probes clean, inspect cell guides and record threshold changes. Revalidate the procedure after maintenance or a change in cell supplier, packaging or terminal condition.
